Social Issue

      Football is one of Americas favorite sports but it is one of the most dangerous sports. Football is a dangerous sport because people who play can have injuries from their head to toe. When they get injured they might not be able to play again or they might miss allot of games to play in. sports may be fun but you will have to be really careful about what you do in them don't try to show off your moves because it can end badly.

No Christmas for my children

      In the poem No Christmas for my children by Dimitri Shestakovich, is about a woman who is expressing her feelings about not being able to celebrate Christmas with her children because she has no money or home. That made me feel sad because she's homeless for Christmas. In the poem it says no money for tomorrow no place to lay my head. the poem tells us that she really wishes that she can have a home, bed, Christmas tree, presents and ornaments to put on the tree. since she has nothing to give except her love.
I think the poem is trying to tell us even if we have a bed or ornaments the best gift to give our children is the gift of love. this poem makes me sad because being homeless on Christmas is really tough. Its cold, hard to get food, and people seeing you as a failure. plus having kids is really tough no presents just your love. Something that really popped out was that she don't have no family that she can be with.

Valerie's  problems and issues are that she lost her husband because someone killed him. As a result of the murder she wants to get back at those who killed him. She wanted revenge but her plan backfires. As she is about to shoot one of people responsible for her husband's death, V comes up behind her and knocks her unconscious. she is taken toa fake jail where they treat her very badly. They shave her head and she gets poor food. She winds up losing her mind and being socially isolated. All because she wanted revenge.  This topic is  related to the social issue of violence, and how violence by a person generaly results in more violence.

Friendship

    Friendship is one of the bestthings to have because it keeps people happy & a smile on there face.

    In my book The Jacket this boy named Phil was feeling bad in his room because of how he treated a black kid named Daniel. The reason he why he feel bad is because he thought that Daniel stole his little brother jacket so they started to tug of war over the jacket. A teacher came and and broke it up they were both sent to the principals office. While they were there Phil pointed out to the principal that his mom got that jacket from Italy and it has the words Ricci di Roma on the neck of it. Daniel kept on telling them that his grandmother got him that jacket for his birth day Phil wasn't buying it and the principal didn't know who to believe so she kept in her office. Phil took it when they left and went home Daniels grandmother was a maid for Phil's mother. While she was cleaning she told him that his brother didn't want the jacket & it was nice of him to give it to me so i gave it to Daniel. Phil started getting worried cause they didn't know he had it thats when he looked online to se where Daniel lived so he could give the jacket back. When he was finnished he found out that Daniel was two miles away from him he started to run to his house. when he got there daniels grandmother oppend the door and asked does your mother know your here he just wanted to see Daniel. She let him in and said he's upstairs he ran up there Daniel was on the computer so he didn't hear him come in he tapped on his shoulder and he turned around. he asked why are you here Phil said i just wanted to give your jacket back thats when there friendship began.

    Friendship is the hardest thing to have it's even hard to find sometimes. It's hard to have a friendship because you need to have patients. In some friendships someone can be annoying or they can't stand others. It's hard to find friendship because unlike grown ups you can't just walk up to anyone and just start talking.

    Friendships can catch up with each other or they can end. by friendships can end i mean that one of them can move are act differently to each other stop hanging around them or just don't like them anymore. Friendships can catch up with each other by one of them just moved back from somewhere or they can see each other in any random place.

Drugs

      Dugs is the worst thing people can take it can make you go crazy, want more or make you see things thats not there. Drugs can also make people lose their jobs or make kids get suspended from school.

In my book V for vendetta the character was trying to find out what happened in his past. While he was there he took acid, a little pill that make's people high. After he took it he started getting dizzy and had visions of him being in prison. He Was going crazy seeing a women named Dillia screaming her name for help. It was like he was getting pulled away from her he closed his eyes and when he opened a guy was in front of him asking him questions about Dellia. He wouldn't tell him anything so he got mad and some other guys came in talking about poison might make him beater so they dragged him out of the room. He closed and opened his eyes he saw dellia again so he started screaming for her to help him again after all that he came back to reality.

Drugs are the worst thing to take because it can really mess up your life. Drugs can kill alot of brain cells but teens thinks it's cool to do it. Drugs can be helpful to take to stay up and study but a lot of times it can be very addictive and people can't stop with them. People who take drugs can either lose their jobs or for teens they can get suspended.

Drugs can lead to three things. homlessness, jail, or death. So try your hardest to stay away from drugs and alcohol.
