In the book I'm reading sunrise over Fallujah my character just witnessed a little boy die.
My character was shocked he kept on wondering why the little boy kept on running he also asked himself why his partner killed him. He tried to get past the fact that he was dead and block it by telling himself that the boy was probably a boy that hated and wanted to kill americans. He looked at his team and saw that all of their hands were shaking in shock wishing that it never happened.
I think that when people want to go to the army they forget about things like kid dieing. Also when they see it they get shocked and don't want to stay no more cause there scared that the same thing might happen to them. That's why if you want to join the army navy or be a cop think hard think about how you might be putting yourself in danger.

comming of age post #1
The comming of age book I chose is written by Walter Dean Myers called Sunrise over Fallujah.
So far the book is about a man named Robin who is in the army. His best friend Jonesy is in the army with him. Everytime Robin goes to a new place he always get jumpy and nervous because he didn't know what was going to happen while he was there. He wants to be in the action but at the same time he don't want to be in it. The people in his unit are Major Spring Session, Captain Coles, Captain Robert Harris, from Dixx Hills, New York,Corporal Charlie Jones from Stone Mountain, Georgia and Corporal Eddie Evans from Stormville, New York.
Pvt. Robin Perry is learning the bssics about Operation Iraqi. There are four phases Iraqi to the operation. The first phase is to understand and make an assessment of the area, the second phase is the preparation of the battlefield, which means bombing the enemy, the third phase is to forcefully remove the present regime in Iraq and neutralize their weapons, the fourth and final phase is the building of a successful democracy in Iraq.
At Camp Doha in Kuwait, there was always this one person that stood out from the rest of the people in his unit. Her name was Marla. Robin didn't really know if he could trust her because she always picked on by making jokes about him. Robin's unit had to decide who was going to be riding in the humvee with him. He chose Jonesy and Cpt. Coles but while he was deciding on the last person Marla jumped in.
